พิธีเสกและเปิด อาคารยอห์น บอสโก อนุสรณ์ 200 ปีชาตกาล เป็นการภายใน

คุณพ่อเทพรัตน์ ปิติสันต์ เจ้าคณะแขวงซาเลเซียนแห่งประเทศไทย ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธีเสกและเปิด อาคารยอห์น บอสโก อนุสรณ์ 200 ปี ชาตกาล ซึ่งเป็นอาคารอเนกประสงค์หลังใหม่ โดยมีคุณพ่อมนูญ สนเจริญ อธิการ, คุณพ่อศักดิ์ชัย ตรีว่าอุดม รองอธิการ, คุณพ่อเกรียงศักดิ์ ชัยพรแก้ว รองผู้อำนวยการและเหรัญญิก สมาชิกซาเลเซียน คณะครู และนักเรียน เข้าร่วมพิธี
พิธีครั้งนี้มีการเสกและเปิดบริเวณชั้น 1 ได้แก่ ร้าน Savio Premium, ชั้น 5 ได้แก่ ร้าน S.D. Corner, Savio Square, Audiovisual Room, Server Room, ชั้น 6 ได้แก่ ห้องฝ่ายกิจการนักเรียน, Art Room, ชั้น 7 S.D. Music Zone และ ชั้น 8 ได้แก่ S.D. Stadium, S.D. Sport Zone โดยหลังจากพิธีเสกและเปิดเสร็จสิ้นลง ได้มีการแข่งขันกีฬาภายใน โดยมีกีฬาประเภทต่าง ๆ อาทิ ฟุตบอล, บาสเกตบอล, วอลเลย์บอล และแบดมินตัน เป็นต้น
สำหรับการก่อสร้างอาคารหลังนี้ คณะผู้ใหญ่ของโรงเรียนได้ประกอบศาสนพิธีขอพระพรเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลสำหรับการก่อสร้าง เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 21 กรกฎาคม 2559 ต่อมาได้จัดให้มีพิธีเสกและวางศิลาฤกษ์อาคาร เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 11 พฤศจิกายน 2559
ที่สุดวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 16 พฤษภาคม 2562 ได้เปิดใช้ในส่วนของพื้นที่จอดรถ จนกระทั่งมีพิธีเสกและเปิดเป็นการภายใน ในวันศุกร์ที่ 16 สิงหาคม 2562 โอกาสวันคล้ายวันเกิดของคุณพ่อบอสโก ในส่วนของพิธีเสกและเปิดอย่างเป็นทางการ กำหนดให้มีขึ้นในปีการศึกษา 2563 ซึ่งเป็นปีการศึกษาที่ 60 ของการดำเนินกิจการโรงเรียนเซนต์ดอมินิก

Blessing and Opening Ceremony of the St. John Bosco’s Bicentenary Building
Throughout the culmination of years-long building construction the new building, Fr. John Bosco Dheparat Pitisant, the Provincial of the Salesian Thai Province, officially presided over the blessing and opening ceremony of the new multi-purpose building, St. John Bosco’s Bicentenary Building in the morning of 16 August 2019, which was also the birthday of St. John Bosco of the original founder. In honored attendance were Fr. Paul Manoon Soncharoen, SDB, Rector and Director of Saint Dominic School, Fr. Francis Sakchai Trivaudom, SDB, Vice Rector and Youth Ministry, Fr. Joseph Kriengsak Chaiyaphornkaew, SDB, Managing and Bursa, and a number of other important guests from the Salesian community, as well as the teachers and students of Saint Dominic School.
This new building was formally blessed and opened starting on the 1st floor: Savio Premium, 5th floor: S.D. Corner, Savio Square, Audiovisual Room, Server Room, 6th floor: Student Affairs Office, Art Room, 7th floor: S.D. Music Zone, and lastly 8th floor: S.D. Stadium, S.D. Sports Zone. Just right after the opening, there were several exciting sports competitions such as football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and so on.
Three years ago, on Thursday 21 July 2016, the board director of Saint Dominic School performed worship to receive blessings before having a construction of the St. John Bosco’s Bicentenary Building, followed by having a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday 11 November 2016. Finally, the school announced to allow the first part of the new building to be used on Thursday 16 May 2019, which was car parking. Especially, given that next year marks the 60th anniversary of Saint Dominic, an occasion which will be marked in 2020.
